Burt's Bees, Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil

Hello,
Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil has a subtle red tint to it, which gives a little bit of color to the lips. I like its fruity natural smell. It is moisturizing on the lips and brings relief to dry or chapped lips. It is a bit waxy but I like it, it feels like my lips are well protected during cold windy weather. Lips stay moisturized some time after the balm wears off.
I like it a lot for its natural and very good ingredients. After all, one should be very careful what to apply on the lips.
Ingredients: helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil, cera alba (beeswax, cire d'abeille), cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, lanolin, aroma (flavor)*, punica granatum (pomegranate) seed oil, tocopherol, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, glycine soja (soybean) oil, canola oil (huile de colza), carmine, benzyl salicylate, cinnamal, citral, eugenol, geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, limonene, linalool.

Castor Oil, The Palma Christi, Heritage Store, hair growth, face moisturizer

Hello,
today I would like to tell you about benefits of castor oil. I am reviewing a castor oil from Heritage Store.
The castor oil has great effect on the skin and hair.
About its fantastic properties already wrote  Edgar Cayce. Here is the link for those who would like to read more: http://www.edgarcayce.org/are/holistic_health/data/thcast1.html.

Castor Oil Heritage Store

I apply castor oil on the eyebrows and eyelashes. After a couple of months of using it my lashes have become very strong and long. The  eyebrows are thicker and much darker:). I am very happy with this result because before my eyebrows were more of a brown-reddish colour.

I use don't use castor oil on my blond hair because I don't want to darken the hair.

In addition I have used  the oil for deep burn scar  and although I haven't used it regularly, I have noticed a big improvement in appearance of the scar which is now lighter, softer and smoother.

I am mixing castor oil with flax seed oil and use this mixture as a makeup remover. It has helped me a lot with my acne prone complexion.

The oil has thick consistency and you should be careful with the application, because castor oil stains are very difficult to remove.

I have bought the oil at iherb, an American internet shop for about 11 dollars (around 9 euros). If you are interested please feel free t use my  code:  TAP615 or the following link:
http://www.iherb.com?rcode=TAP615  and you will get up to 10 dollars discount.

The bottle is very big (about a liter!!) and the oil is very efficient and I keep it in the refrigerator.

Thank you for reading and many greetings,

Joanna

Maybelline Baby Lips Balm, Pink Punch

Hello, this is a review of Maybelline Baby Lips Balm in Pink Punch.I have been testing it for the last couple of weeks and I would like to share my opinion with you.

It is worth mentioning that this lip balm is more like a lipstick.  The Maybelline Baby Lips Balm in Pink Punch is an intensive baby pink colour and it should suit almost everybody. But for example on my lips it goes very pink so if you have pale lips naturally (like me) please take it under consideration.  Good thing is that although the colour is on a bright side it still suites me and I feel comfortable about wearing it.

Pros:

  • the balm feels very good on the lips
  • it has a creamy texture
  • it hydrates the lips while you are wearing it
  •  It will not feel sticky
  • flattering colour
  • it will not cause an allergic reaction
  • availability
  • price

  • But it will not help much if your lips are really dry
  • it will not  moisturize your lips for a full 8 hours as the producer has stated. Especially now, during the winter.

Ingredients: Polybutene, Octyldodecanol, Isopropyl Myristate, Petrolatum, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Polyethylene, Ozokerite, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter / Shea Butter, Diisostearyl Malate, Candelilla Cera / Candelilla Wax / Cire De Candelilla, Vp/Hexadecene Copolymer, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Parfum / Fragrance, Calcium Aluminum Borosilicate, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Tocopherol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Alumina, Aroma / Flavor, Silica, Isopropyl Palmitate, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisostearate, Limonene, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Benzyl Benzoate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Aluminum Hydroxide, Citral, Linalool, Hexyl Cinnamal, Tin Oxide, Geraniol, Eugenol, Aloe Barbadensis Extract / Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Mel / Honey / Miel, Calcium Pantothenate, Ascorbic Acid, Dimethicone, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Atelocollagen.
May Contain: CI 77891 / Titanium Dioxide, MICA, CI 45410 / Red 28 Lake, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / Iron Oxides, CI 15850 / Red 7, CI 45380 / Red 22 Lake, CI 19140 / Yellow 5 Lake. CI 42090 / Blue 1 Lake, CI 15985 / Yellow 6 Lake, CI 75470 / Carmine.

Overall, I'd say go for it:). But please remember that Maybelline Baby Lips Balm in Pink Punch is more like a lipstick than a lip balm. It will give you a colour but it won't really nourish or super moisturize your lips.

Batiste Dry Shampoo Cherry

Hello,
how are you? Batiste Dry Shampoo is a real "godsend" for those who, like me, have problems with oily hair. My hair gets oily very fast and honestly I should wash it daily. During the summer I can do it because I let the hair to dry naturally but during winter months...argh...I have to admit that sometimes I just feel too lazy to wash it in the mornings, especially if I have to use a hair dryer. Firstly it is unhealthy for the hair, secondly it is time consuming. But luckily the answer to my troubles is Batiste dry shampoo. I just spray it a few times and the hair is fresh again and smells nice. The effect stays all day. However, the shampoo contains butane which is very unhealthy. Even the manufacturer warns against too frequent usage of the shampoo and  recommends to keep a  distance when spraying the hair. Because of all this I try to use the shampoo rarely, let's say in "emergency situations"(like oversleeping:)). What do you think about dry shampoos?
Ingredients:
butane, isobutane, propane, oryza sativa (rice) starch, alcohol denat., parfum (fragrance), distearyldimonium chloride, cetrimonium chloride.
Greetings
Joanna

IsaDora, Moisturizing Lip Gloss, Reflecting Lilac

Hello,
how are you? IsaDora moisturizing lip gloss contains jojoba oil, which  is protective and nourishing. It soothes irritation and prevents dryness. It adds a beautiful shine to the lips. I quite often use lip glosses but only on this one people were commenting how nice shine it gives. The lip gloss smells very nice, like a candy and I like sweets:). It has a non sticky formula but surely one has to be careful that it won't stick to the hair during windy days.

I liked this lip gloss so much that I actually have purchased it twice. My color is Reflecting Lilac, which is a very light pink/lilac color with tiny sparkles. On the lips it looks transparent. The gloss has hydrating power as well though doesn't stay long.

Overall, I really recommend it.

Giorgio Armani Blushing Fabric Second Skin Blush, Shimmering Peach, cream gel blush

Hello,
Blushing Fabric Second Skin Blush is my favourite blush. I wanted to buy it since long time but I would always think that the price was far too high. However, a few months ago there was a sale and... became a happy owner of this blush in number 1, Shimmering Peach. I think that a Shimmering Peach should be a Shimmering Raspberry instead because the color doesn't look like a peach at all. It is pink with golden specks and thanks to them cheeks look fresh and radiant. The blush blends beautifully with the skin and looks very natural, people actually think it is natural:). Even the make-up artist was fooled away.
Second Skin blush is a mix of a creme and gel and because of that it gives a silky finish. At first glance, the color seems to be bright, but when applied to the skin it blends nicely and looks more transparent. The color remains untouched by the most part of the day, which is quite something because I have oily skin.
The blush isn't cheap but it lasts for long.
And what do you think?

Badger Company, Baby Balm, Chamomile & Calendula review

Hello,
I generally love Badger cosmetics because they are natural, organic and fantastic:).The baby balm is great, it smells divine and it calms me down. The balm helps to soothe baby's delicate skin. Ingredients are natural and healthy, especially calendula is known for its healing properties. I have been using it for a nappy rash and small cuts and it really heals the skin fast and effectively.

Ingredients: Olea europaea (extra virgin olive) oil, ricinus communis (castor) oil, cera alba (beeswax), anthemis nobilis (roman chamomile) essential oil, and calendula officinalis (calendula) CO² extract.
I got i from iherb for over 5 dollars. If you want to buy something from this store you can use my  code:  TAP615 or the following link:

LOreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque, professional nourishing hydrating mask for damaged dry hair

Hello,
today I am reviewing L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque. The manufacturer promises that after using it the hair will be nourished, soft and shiny and ... he is 100 % right.
The mask is great, after using it my hair is:
  • smooth as silk
  • easy to comb
  • shiny
L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque contains oil from avocado, grape seed oil, argan oil and cotton. In addition, one of the ingredients of the mask is amodimethicone, but luckily it is a hair friendly silicone, which forms on the surface of the hair a film which protects against loss of moisture. It also improves combing process, prevents entangling and smooths the hair. Good thing is that amodimethicone can be removed with a gentle shampoo.

How I use L'Oréal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque:

I use this mask mostly during winter, when the temperature is low and my hair needs extra protection.
I apply it for 3 minutes, as recommended, rinse and voila! I get a beautiful hair:). Keeping the mask longer doesn't make any significant changes in the look of my hair. And although 3 minutes sounds rather short it really is enough for this mask to do its job.
I have however noticed, that the mask weights down my hair (after all it contains different type of oils). Because of that I apply it only from the mid-lengths of the hair to the tips.

The mask is very efficient, you will need only a small amount.

The mask has a  pleasant sweet scent and rich, buttery texture.

I can highly recommend L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque to everybody:).

Ingredients: Water, cetearyl alcohol, behentrimonium chloride, candeila cera, amodimethicone, cetyl esters, isopropyl alcohol, glycerin, phenoxyethanol, persea gratissima oil (avocado oil), vitis vinnifera seed oil (grape seed oil), trideceth-6, limonene, chlorhexidine, digluconate, centrimonium chloride, hexyl cinnamal, coumarin, linalool.

Greetings and thank you for reading.
